Getting around in Prague

  • City public transport connection – find the fastest route to your favorite pub :)
  • Czech trains and buses – take a nice trip outside Prague to Cesky Krumlov or Kutna Hora.
  • Watch out for local taxi drivers, they are hungry for money and tourists are their prey! Better call one than stop it on the street. A cheap taxi service is SpeedCars, call: +420 224 234 234.

Coming to Prague as a Tourist

  • Well, first read some basic info at Wikipedia of course, and check out some online city guides (try uncle Google).
  • If you need some comfy accommodation, you check out some hotels in Prague.
  • For backpackers, there are some pretty cool hostels around Prague. I can personally recommend Hostel Elf, you will find a bunch of others at Hostelworld.
  • And for you guys who wanna meet the locals and avoid tourist crowds, there is the magnificient CouchSurfing! Besides direct contact with open-minded locals, you can also get totally free accommodation there (but that’s not the main purpose, just a pleasant side effect).
